If you contact Archana Pawar in India — who visited with us in the US — she might know how to contact Tom Elliott in California who has done considerable research on this topic and might be able to help you.

    Hey A

It was nice meeting you at Barnes and Noble. Keep up the good work. Not many people have the courage to reach out of their life circle to tackle a heavy issue such as sex trafficking. It’s an uncomfortable subject for most people who just want to live in their own little comfy world and don’t want to keep up with all of the world’s problems and how these problems can affect us in the United States.

If we don’t face these problems head on and tackle them, these problems will grow such as terrorism, greedy dictatorships, and social injustices.

It takes strength and a firm resolve to make a difference. Actions speak louder than words. We sometimes have to take tough actions to get rid of the growing threat towards rightful human decency.

Hi there, I am a journalist and researcher currently in the process of investigating Bride Trafficking in India. The investigation will contribute to a documentary series we are filming on modern day slavery.

I have spoken to Empower People, however I need further information. We are trying to establish if there is a connection between the economic benefits of bride trafficking, and the lack of government response in dealing with it.

Essentially, I need to find out how bride trafficking contributes to the Indian economy as this may explain one of the reasons why the government refuses to do anything about it. Also need figures on number of women that are lured into this appalling sales chain trade.

If anyone can help, please email me as soon as possible as I have urgent deadline! We need to raise awareness of this issue as much as possible…

Love your blog by the way, A, you’re an amazing woman and a true inspiration. Keep up the good work chica! 🙂

    Hey A.

It’s been a long time since I saw ya, or we even talked…so you may not remember me, but I wanted to express how truly amazing you are for what you are doing. I wish that more of us were able to speak out about the horrible things we go through in life. (No, I have never been involved in human trafficking….other serious issues).
What you are doing here…and what you plan to do with your life take an incredible amount of strength, clarity of heart and mind, and compassion. Just know that we will definitely be lifting you and the cause up in prayer! Good Luck….and let me know if there is anything I can do to help.
